Helmholtz resonator – rotor

Experiment no.: 5.3.902
Helmholtz-Resonator – Rotor
A Helmholtz resonator is an acoustic resonator, here in form of two bottles that form a rotor. If the bottles are excited at the right frequency, air flows out of them, which sets the rotor in motion. Even if the rotor is kept at a certain distance from the experiment, the experiment still works!

Caution: Experiment with possible hearing damage!
Personal protective equipment necessary!
