Oscillating cart

Experiment no.: 5.3.101
Schwingwagen
A small cart and two steel springs form an oscillatory system. An electric motor with an eccentric mechanism periodically deflects the cart from its resting position. The drive frequency is steadily increased so that the system passes through the resonance curve. This experiment is particularly nice and highly recommended.
Comment: The video shows an out-dated set-up.
