In this experiment, an accelerometer built into a foam cube can be thrown without danger. In this way, it can be shown that a body is weightless not only in free fall but also when thrown vertically, obliquely or horizontally.
However, measurement inaccuracies and, above all, the effect of force on the cube caused by air resistance prevent a perfectly weightless state.
