Falling coil spring

Experiment no.: 1.3.10
Fallende Spiralfeder
A spiral spring is hung from the ceiling of the lecture hall with its lower end about 1.5 meters from the floor. When the coil spring is released, it does not fall as a whole. The lower end of the coil spring remains standing in the air until the coil spring coming from above is contracted completely. Then the coil spring falls to the ground as a whole.
