Debye temperature

Experiment no.: 9.1.7
Debye-Temperatur
By comparing lead with aluminium, this experiment shows that at low temperatures, heat capacity depends not only on the quantity of material (number of atoms) but, according to P. Debye, also depends on the number of possible lattice vibrations.
Caution: Experiment with LN2 (eye damage and cold injuries possible)! Personal protective equipment necessary!
