Nitrogen explosion

Experiment no.: 8.4.9
Stickstoff Explosion
This experiment is a spectacular demonstration of the change in volume of a real gas during the phase transition from liquid to gas. In addition, the experiment shows that a real gas can only be approximated as an ideal gas under certain conditions, as a phase transition is not possible for an ideal gas.

Caution: Experiment with LN2 and noise (eye damage, cold injuries, and hearing damage possible)!
Personal protective equipment necessary!
