Wollaston's cryophorus

In this experiment, a heat pipe has water on one side and water vapour in the rest of the system. If the other end of the heat pipe is held in liquid nitrogen, the water freezes very quickly.

Caution: Experiment with LN₂ (eye damage and cold injuries possible)!
