Gyro and torque (bicycle gyro)

This experiment shows the different effects of force and torque. If a weight is attached to the axle of the rotating wheel on the other side of the axle bearing, the wheel does not move upwards as intuitively expected by the student, but sideways! A particularly impressive experiment.
