Hot-air/Stirling engine

Experiment no.: 8.3.302
Heissluftmotor
A hot-air or Stirling engine generates mechanical work. This works with both a heating and a cooling bath. By reversing the direction, the engine becomes a heat pump or chiller.
Comment: The video shows a slightly different set-up.

Caution: if required, experiment with LN2 (eye damage and cold injuries possible)!
Personal protective equipment necessary!
