Floating magnet above superconductor – Meissner effect

Experiment no.: 9.9.1
Schwebender Magnet über Supraleiter – Meissner-Effekt
A permanent magnet floats above a superconductor cooled with LN2 until the temperature of the superconductor increases so that it loses its superconducting state.

Caution: Experiment with LN2 (eye damage and cold injuries possible)!
Personal protective equipment necessary!
