Thermocouple

A thermocouple can be demonstrated qualitatively by selecting ice as a reference point and warming the thermocouple with your hands or a lighter, for example, or cooling it with liquid nitrogen.

Caution: Experiment with LN₂ (eye damage possible)!
Personal protective equipment necessary!
