Grating image through slit as per Abbe – with laser

The resolving power of an optical system is determined: a grating illuminated with a laser beam is displayed with the system and an adjustable slit is held horizontally and vertically in front of the system.
The diffraction pattern and the image of the grating can be observed in this experiment at the same time.

Caution: Experiment with class 3R laser and possible eye damage!
Do not look into the laser beam!
