Force of a holding solenoid

Experiment no.: 6.3.31
Kraft eines Haftmagneten New since 05/25
A holding solenoid, as it is often used to hold doors, is powered by two 9 V batteries. If the solenoid is held against a steel plate, it can be lifted easily. Even if the solenoid and the steel plate are pulled, they can hardly be separated, as the solenoid has a holding force of approx. 800 N.
