Addition of two angular velocities
Experiment no.: 2.1.2
a) A plastic ball can be caused to rotate by two side-mounted motors. The axes of rotation are at 45° or 135°. Running both motors results in a vertical axis of rotation. If the direction of rotation of one of the motors is changed, the axis of rotation becomes horizontal.
b) A dice is used to show that, in general, two successive rotations are not commutative.
